Sky Bridge
Sky Bridge is one of the world’s longest curved suspension bridges.
Sky Bridge
Sky Bridge is the new attraction that has put Malaysia on the map. Suspended high in the sky, it offers views of the surrounding landscape and islands. This spectacular 125 meter long arched pedestrian bridge is located on Langkawi Island in Malaysia. The bridge crosses the top of Gunung Mat Cincang and offers a view of the landscape. The bridge is also one of the highest in the world, with a height of almost 1,000 meters.
Its construction was a success because it had to overcome structural challenges at a high level such as load management, structural balance from a single point, and delivery of building materials. However, the construction was completed in 2004 and stands as an engineering marvel. Visitors from all over the world come to experience its unique beauty from above the sky.

During the construction of this bridge, it faced many challenges including transporting materials and prefabricated parts to the top of the mountain using helicopters, optimal loading and weight distribution, structural stability and weight distribution. The Langkawi Sky Bridge has also been used and introduced through the famous foreign film “Don’s Chase: A New Beginning.”
